Aim to achieve

Our principal objectives

To achieve these principal objectives, the NGRP maintains a close association with industry, the private sector and government for the mutual benefit of both the Platform and the Research Institutions. Research is undertaken by the research teams of all participating Research Institutions. Industry helps ensure relevant practical research questions are studied and that practical results are delivered in a digestible format to farmers and other industry role players.

Facilitate goal-directed and industry-relevant research on priority grains and oilseeds research needs of members.

Ensure that a source of expertise in the specialist fields is available and aligned with needs of members.

Provide the members of the Platform with access to multidisciplinary research teams with specialised equipment and infrastructure.

Support the development of National Grain Research Platforms.

Leverage capacity and resources between the Platform and other research platforms and programmes in related fields.

NGRP Annual Research Meeting

The meeting provides a platform for grain and oilseed stakeholders to engage and discuss current trends in the industry and how research can support these efforts.
